Properties of Successful Passes in Soccer
The probability that an attempted pass will be successful depends on a wide variety of factors. In this research we consider the way such things as the length of the pass, the direction of the pass, the velocity of the players, the characteristics of the passing lane, and the curvature of the pass impact the likelihood that it will be successful. This research is described in the following working paper:
Brause, S. and D. Bernstein (2019) "Properties of Successful Passes in Soccer", Computer Science Department, James Madison University.
