Complete survey on Scantron sheet in pencil and bring to class
Read Section 1.1 in text paying particular attention to the following terms:
tautology
wff (well-formed formula)
order of precedence of connectives
DeMorgan’s Laws
contradictions
Go through the exercises at the end of section 1.1 (pages 14-16) and be prepared to tell the answer in class if called on or given a quiz. If there’s a particularly confusing one, send me an e-mail and I’ll go over it in class.
Thursday’s lecture will cover section 1.2 and start section 1.3
