Announcements and Record of Updates:

·         01 May 2003:  Notice of Tutorial/Review Session scheduled for this afternoon.

·         02 Apr 2003:  Class average for Mid-Term was 155;  distribution of mid-term grades.  Information regarding term projects:  List of suggested topics, set of instructions for the project, and compilation of errors often made by students.

·         11 Mar 2003:  Posted answers/solutions to the questions of all six quizzes (printed copies had previously been either distributed in class or left in the box outside my office door):  Quiz-1, Quiz-2, Quiz-3, Quiz-4, Quiz-5, and Quiz-6.

·         07 Mar 2003:  Posted a second set of slides covering the material covered following that of the first slide set.

·         07 Mar 2003:  REMINDER:  Mid-Term exam has been rescheduled for class time on Wednesday, 19 Mar 2003.  Majority of content of Mid-Term will be very similar to the questions that appeared on the six quizzes that we had so far, so be sure you are thoroughly familiar with the answer sheets that were given out for all the quizzes (Answers to Quiz-1, Quiz-2, Quiz-3, Quiz-4, Quiz-5, Quiz-6).  Area of coverage includes classes through Monday, 17 Mar 2003, and all readings due through that date.

·         25 Feb 2003:  Posted a set of slides covering first six+ weeks of the course.

·         24 Feb 2003:  Revised Course Map and Homework Assignments 5 through 8 posted.

·         21 Feb 2003:  Vinny Capaccio has graciously offered to hold a session in the lab (HHS Room 3022) for any students who prefer to have an experienced mentor present while they try their first tinkering with PCs.  This session will be held this afternoon, Friday, 21 February 2003, at 1400 hrs in the lab (HHS Room 3022).  If you have not yet signed out a kit or had your JAC card enabled for the electronic door lock, you will be able to do so at this afternoon’s session.

Also, repeat of the announcement made in class last week:  Due date for the fourth homework assignment has been changed and is now this coming Monday, 24 Feb 2003.

·         29 Jan 2003:  In order to better harmonize the homework schedule with the classroom sessions for sections 1 and 2, the due dates for Assignments 3 onward have been revised.  Please see the new Course Map that has now been posted for the semester assignments.

·         27 Jan 2003:  As was announced in class this morning, a tutorial session was held today starting at 1110.  Another tutorial session is scheduled for Wednesday morning at 1110 hrs in HHS Room 2202.  All interested students are welcome to attend/

·         16 Jan 2003, 0011 hrs:  Document posted giving Homework Assignments for first four weeks of the course.
